Update Product Status

Use product status to control whether a product is still being prepared, available to customers, hidden from customers, or ready to be republished.

Common Product Statuses

  • Draft: The product has been created but is not live.
  • Published: The product is available in the selected publishing workflow.
  • Unpublished: The product has been removed from the live workflow.
  • Needs Update: The product may need edits before publishing again.

The exact status labels may vary by account, product type, or store integration.

Before You Update Status

Before changing product status, confirm:

  • You are editing the correct product.
  • Product details are complete.
  • Required variants have SKUs and prices.
  • Required templates are published.
  • Mockups or product images are available.
  • The connected store is active, if the product should be live in a store.

Publish A Product

  1. Log in to EzyAdmin.
  2. Open Products > My Products.
  3. Find the product.
  4. Review the product details.
  5. Open the product action menu.
  6. Click Publish.
  7. Confirm the store or destination if prompted.

After publishing, check the storefront or connected workflow to confirm the product is visible.

Unpublish A Product

Use unpublish when the product should no longer be available to customers.

  1. Open Products > My Products.
  2. Find the product.
  3. Open the product action menu.
  4. Click Unpublish or the equivalent status action.
  5. Confirm the change.

After unpublishing, check the storefront to confirm the product is no longer visible.

Update And Republish A Product

Use this workflow when a published product needs changes.

  1. Open the product in Products > My Products.
  2. Make the required changes.
  3. Save the product.
  4. Review variants, SKUs, prices, and mockups.
  5. Publish or update the product again.
  6. Check the storefront or connected workflow.

If Status Does Not Update

Check the following:

  • The product was saved before publishing.
  • Required fields are complete.
  • The connected store is active.
  • The template is published.
  • The product has valid SKU and pricing details.
  • You have permission to publish or update products.
