Create a Print Template

Create a print template when you want customers to start from a prepared design for a print product.

Print templates are useful for posters, cards, single-page photo products, invitations, certificates, and other web-to-print products.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Chosen the correct print blank.
  • Prepared the template name.
  • Prepared any tags, occasions, or language settings.
  • Prepared JPG images for sample photos or backgrounds.
  • Prepared PNG files for transparent clipart, if needed.
  • Confirmed the product size and orientation.

Do not upload CMYK images. Use RGB JPG files for photos and backgrounds to avoid unexpected color conversion issues.

Create A New Template

  1. Log in to EzyAdmin.
  2. Open Creative Assets > Templates.
  3. Click Create new group.
  4. Enter the template details.
  5. Select the print blank or product the template belongs to.
  6. Add occasions, tags, or language settings if required.
  7. Click Create.

The Template Creator opens in a new tab.

Design The Template

Inside Template Creator, add the objects customers should be able to personalize.

Common print template objects include:

  • Photo holders for customer images.
  • Text fields for names, dates, messages, or captions.
  • Backgrounds for fixed design artwork.
  • Clipart for reusable transparent design elements.

Keep important content inside the safe area. Use bleed and trim guidance from the selected blank when preparing artwork.

Preview And Save

Before publishing, check:

  • The correct blank or product is selected.
  • Photo holders are correctly positioned.
  • Text fields are editable where needed.
  • Backgrounds and clipart render correctly.
  • Important content stays inside the safe area.
  • The design works in preview.

Click Save before closing the Template Creator.

Publish The Template

Publishing makes the template available for product creation or customer selection.

  1. Return to the Templates dashboard.
  2. Open the template group.
  3. Use the template options menu.
  4. Click Publish.

If the template should no longer be available, use Unpublish.

What To Do Next

After creating the print template:

  1. Create a Product.
  2. Publish / Download a Product.
