Create a Product
Create a product when you are ready to turn a blank, template, product details, pricing, variants, and mockups into something that can be published or downloaded.
This workflow applies to Photobook Designer, Print Designer, Calendar Designer, and Custom Product Designer products.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- Chosen the correct blank.
- Created and published any required template.
- Prepared product name, description, specifications, and tags.
- Prepared pricing and SKU details.
- Prepared mockup images or source images for mockup generation.
- Confirmed the product type you want to create.
Some product types may not require every item above. For example, a ready product may use print-ready files, while a customizable product usually needs a template customers can edit.
Product Types
Choose the product type based on how customers should interact with the product.
Customizable Product
Use a customizable product when customers should personalize the design in the designer.
Examples include photobooks, calendars, posters, apparel, decor products, and other products where customers add photos, text, or design changes.
Ready Product
Use a ready product when the final design is already prepared and customers should not need to customize it.
Examples include fixed artwork, ready-to-sell designs, pre-rendered products, or products prepared from completed order output.
Create A New Product
- Log in to EzyAdmin.
- Open Products > My Products.
- Click Create new product.
- Select the blank.
- Choose the product type.
- Select the template or required product source.
- Add variants, if needed.
- Add product details.
- Set SKU and pricing.
- Upload or generate mockups.
- Review the product.
- Save the product.
After saving, the product appears in My Products.
Choose A Blank
Select the blank that matches the product format.
The blank controls the base production setup, such as product size, surfaces, page structure, orientation, and output behavior.
If the correct blank is not available, an admin or support user may need to create one first.
For photobooks, see Choose a Photobook Blank.
Choose Product Type
Select the product type that matches the customer experience.
- Choose Customizable Product when customers will edit the product.
- Choose Ready Product when the product is already prepared and should be sold as-is.
The later steps may change depending on the product type.
Select A Template
Select the template customers should start from.
If the template does not appear:
- Confirm the template has been saved.
- Confirm the template has been published.
- Confirm the template belongs to the selected blank or product group.
- Confirm you are using the correct product type.
For photobooks, see Create a Photobook Template.
Add Variants
Use variants when the same product should be sold with different sizes, designs, colors, or other options.
When adding variants:
- Use variants from the same compatible template group when required.
- Make each variant visually or commercially distinct.
- Set one variant as the default.
- Remove variants that should not be sold.
Each variant can have its own SKU and price.
Add Product Details
Enter the information customers and store systems need.
Common product details include:
- Product language.
- Product name.
- Description.
- Specifications.
- Tags.
- Category or collection information.
Keep product names and descriptions customer-facing. Internal production notes should not be placed in public product copy.
Set SKU And Pricing
Review each variant and enter the correct SKU and price.
The SKU is the unique identifier used to track the variant in store, order, and fulfillment workflows.
Before continuing, confirm:
- Every sellable variant has a SKU.
- Prices are correct.
- The default variant is correct.
- Variant names are clear.
Upload Or Generate Mockups
Mockups are the product images customers see before ordering.
Depending on the product type, you may be able to:
- Upload custom mockup images.
- Generate mockup images.
- Select print-ready files or completed output.
- Review generated previews before saving.
Use mockups that clearly represent the product and selected template or design.
Review And Save
Before saving, review:
- Selected blank.
- Product type.
- Template.
- Variants.
- Product details.
- SKU and pricing.
- Mockups or print-ready files.
If everything is correct, click Save.
View Product SKUs
After saving the product:
- Open Products > My Products.
- Find the product.
- Open Variants.
- Review the SKU list.
Use this area when you need to confirm SKU IDs for store, order, or fulfillment workflows.
What To Do Next
After creating the product:
- Connect Your Online Store, if the store is not connected yet.
- Publish / Download a Product.
- Update Product Status, if you need to change product availability later.
